With so much produce grown on the doorstep – from orchard fruits to cheese, dairy products, honey, free-range meat and cider - local chefs have their pick of local specialities to feature in their menus.

Garden-lovers are in their element, with gardens such as the famous Hergest Croft, Brobury, Hampton Court, Abbeydore, How Capel Court and nearby Arrow Cottage to visit.
Book lovers will delight in browsing the dozens of specialist bookshops just seven miles away in Hay-on-Wye, the internationally-known ‘Town of Books’ and home of the annual literary festival.
For more energetic visitors, there are numerous activities close by – from golf at Hay and Kington (the country’s highest golf course at Bradnor Hill) to canoeing and mountain biking at Hay. You can also fly or glide from Shobdon airfield or ride horses in the Black Mountains.
For anglers, we can arrange day fishing at nearby Letton Court, as well as salmon and coarse fishing on the Wye.
Walkers can stretch their legs on no end of good trails, including the Offa’s Dyke Path and the Herefordshire Trail.
For those who love historic architecture, Herefordshire’s famous Black and White Trail will take you on a 40-mile circular route through some of the county’s most picturesque black and white towns and villages, including Leominster, Eardisland, Pembridge, Weobley, Dilwyn, Kington and Eardisley.
